1. Introduction
Welcome to AI Trends Advisor, an AI-powered analytics and advisory app for Shopify merchants, developed by Eli Z Group. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you install and use AI Trends Advisor from the Shopify App Store.
AI Trends Advisor is a native Shopify embedded application — it runs directly inside your Shopify admin and does not require a separate account or dashboard.
2. Information We Collect
When you install AI Trends Advisor on your store, we request the following read-only access scopes through Shopify's standard OAuth flow:

All scopes are read-only. AI Trends Advisor does not write to, modify, or delete any data in your Shopify store.
3. Use of Data
We use your Shopify data solely to provide the features of AI Trends Advisor, including:
- Product-level advice (promote, reduce, investigate, etc.)
- Smart bundle recommendations derived from co-purchase patterns
- AI-driven trend matching against global market signals
- Customer segmentation (RFM analysis)
- Top-selling product analysis and sales trends
- Natural-language AI chat answering questions about your store
We do not use your data to train machine-learning models for other customers, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
4. Managing Access & Billing
Access to AI Trends Advisor is managed entirely through Shopify. From your Shopify admin you can:
- Grant or revoke data permissions
- Cancel or change your subscription plan at any time
- Access billing history — all charges are managed via Shopify Billing and appear on your regular Shopify invoice
5. Data Storage & Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow security best practices and comply with international privacy standards including:
- GDPR (European Union)
- CCPA (California, USA)
- PIPEDA (Canada)
- APPI (Japan)
AI Trends Advisor implements Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) to honor data-access and deletion requests.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data while your AI Trends Advisor subscription is active. If you uninstall the app or explicitly request deletion, we remove your store data from our systems within 14 business days, in line with Shopify'sshop/redact 48-hour mandatory deletion for personally identifiable customer data. Aggregated or anonymized metrics may be retained for service-performance analysis.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Request corrections
- Request deletion
- Limit or object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app from Shopify

8. Third-Party Services
AI Trends Advisor uses a limited set of third-party services to operate:
- OpenAI — for natural-language generation in the AI Chat and AI Advice features. Only the minimum context required for a given query is sent; no customer PII is sent to OpenAI.
- Cloud infrastructure providers — for hosting, encrypted storage, and backups.
All third-party processors we use are bound by confidentiality agreements and comply with applicable privacy laws.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be stored or processed in countries outside your own. Where applicable, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure an equivalent level of protection as required by GDPR and other applicable laws.
10. Children's Privacy
AI Trends Advisor is intended for business use by Shopify merchants. It is not directed at individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice within the AI Trends Advisor embedded app.
